French Seams & Burrito Roll Pillowcase

French Seam Pillowcase! This is a beautiful home sewing project that leaves you with a beautiful, useable pillow case with no raw edges! Just perfect seams so that it can be machine washed again and again!

This class will increase your sewing knowledge and terminology! You will learn some fantastic finishing techniques that will take your sewing up a notch or two in the professionalism category!

Prerequisites: Recommended Get to Know Your Machine – Learn the Basics – Knowledge on how to fill a bobbin, thread the machine and seam allowance is useful!

What you will learn: 
French Seams
“Burrito Roll” method to remove exposed seams
Seam Allowance
Trimming seams
Clipping Corners
Pivoting and turning

These easy to make pillowcases are great for gifts, making your own accessories for your house and making to donate to charity! 

Ages: 8 and up (adults welcomed and encouraged)

Max Students: 6

3/4 Yard quilt weight cotton – this will be the main body of pillowcase (Prewashed)
1/4 Yard quilt weight cotton – contrast fabric for the band (Prewashed)
Matching Thread – All purpose polyester
Size 12 or 14 Sharps, Microtex or Universal Needle

Supplies provided by the instructor:

Sewing kits will be available to use during the class, however, must stay at the studio after the class is over.
Marking tools
Sewing Machines (feel free to bring your own machine if you would like)

Such a fantastic project! A great skill builder and technique class for those interested in stepping it up a notch! 

Park behind the building, entry is at Grange Hall. Use either sidewalk to come around to the front of the building that faces Dayton Xenia.

Parking on Grange Hall; Park in Decoy/Knickerbocker Lot
Follow either sidewalk on the side of building to the studio door that faces Dayton-Xenia.
