Tee Shirt Quilt!
I am so excited, I have revamped this class to bring you the very basics of how to start and prep your tee shirt quilt! This two hour and forty-five-minute class will have you completing a tee shirt quilt in no time! Learn how to cut, measure, piece, interface and stitch your quilt top together! You might not finish the top in this class however it will teach you what you need to do in order to have a professional looking quilt.
Prerequisites: Sewing Basics or equivalent skill, threading a machine, filling a bobbin and using seam allowance is required.
What you will learn:
Prepping your fabric
How to use interfacing
Cutting your squares
Sewing a scant seam (1/4 inch seam allowance)
Q&A – students
What a fantastic way to keep those shirts that mean a lot but might not be good to wear anymore! Breath new life into your old favorites!
Max Students: 5
5-15 tee shirts that you will be cutting up, the more you bring the more choices for design
**Protip – pick your shirts ahead of time and with a “theme” this will make the design process easier
Any cutting tools you prefer to use, rotary cutter, see through ruler and mat
Travel Iron and Ironing mat
