Sewing Basics, Reading Patterns and Make a Pillowcase
Sewing Basics Workshop!
A combo workshop! This class is an accelerated class for those who want to start sewing! We will begin with Getting to Know Your Machine, Sewing Basics. We will then move to Demystify Patterns, Unraveling the mystery of Sewing Patterns then to finish the class we will use a sewing pattern to use to confirm all we learned earlier in our course and make a pillowcase.
What you will learn:
Filling & Inserting Bobbin
Accessories and Feet
Basic Sewing Terms
Pattern Reading – Envelope
Transfer markings from pattern
Pivoting and Turn
Ages: 13+ (adults encouraged!)
Max Students: 5
Sewing Machine – if you want to use yours
Matching Color Thread – All-Purpose Polyester
Accessories that come with a machine
Manual for your machine
ALL printouts for this class – You will get links after registration – please print and bring ALL parts!
3/4 yard cotton sold and 1/4 yard cotton print for pillowcase
Small Sewing Kit (Scissors, pins, etc)
Packed lunch and drink! we will break for 1/2 hour for lunch before making the pillowcase!

Scrap fabric for practicing
