 LED Cuffs ~ E-Textile Workshop

E-textiles is an exciting new field that combines embedded electronics with fabric. This workshop will give you the fundamental beginnings of soft circuits using felt, conductive thread, LEDs, coin cell battery, and a snap closure. Each participant leaves with their own customized, lighted cuff! No experience with electronics or sewing needed.

E-textile class will meet for 2 workshops!  YAY! 

Prerequisites: None, (suggested Embroidery Basics, but not required)

What you will learn: 

Basic embroidery stitches
Stitch conductive thread
Install LEDs
Installing snaps
How to properly use coin cell batteries
Design your cuff

This is perfect for cosplay, boy and girls, those interested in science and electronics! Learn and create!

Ages: 10+ (adults welcomed and encouraged!)

Max Students: 10

Felt
Conductive Threads
Sewable LED lights
Snaps
Notions and trims to decorate your band
and supplies like needles and scrap fabrics to practice!
