Kids & Teen Intro to Sewing

This class teaches younger students the basics of sewing to succeed in the summer camps and courses offered.
This class is required for any group class; it enables all students to have the best experience.

If the class dates do not work with your schedule, you can always take this class as a private lesson.

Ages: 9 – 17 (must be able to work independently)

Max Students: 6

The skills they will learn are:

Practice filling a bobbin
Threading the machine
Thread – Why thread quality matters and best brands
Putting the bobbin in
How to change a needle (Demo)
Needle Sizes
Needle Types
Why it matters to use the right needle
Backstitching
Why it’s important and when you do and don’t have/want to use it
Basic stitches
Most used, Stretchy Stitches, Some Specialty stitches
