What a year 2016! You have made me laugh, cry, yell, scream, sob, scared and hopeful. Closing Sew Dayton and opening Needle, Ink and Thread.
Sewing a garment can be scary! But, it doesn’t have to be. I have assembled a list of 10 basic beginner patterns to get you into the garment world of stitching! Each pattern will teach you new techniques and revisit some that are a little bit tricker at first, like bias binding. But it will keep you practicing, which in turn will make the process much easier each time you complete the task!
A helpful trick, is to use comic board backing to wrap your fabrics into store them. They run about $7 for 100 of them. And this will help you keep track of your pretty fabrics and can be a nice bit of inspiration when you’re sewing!
