Are you stuck on a pattern, unsure how to finish it, or do you understand the sizing?
Want to learn to use a sewing machine to do your alterations? Do you constantly have to have your pants hemmed? Learn how to do it on your own and save time and money!
Are you dreaming of becoming a fashion designer? Want to understand clothing construction and basic techniques like bias binding or invisible zippers?
Do you learn easier in a private one-on-one environment? Feeling safer asking questions and more comfortable being creative?
Maybe you want to learn how to hand embroider or use your embroidery machine.
OR no reason, except it sounded like a fun time to learn to sew!

*Ages 5 and older (ages 5-7 parents must take the course with the child if using a sewing machine; you will need to register yourself as a student well).

All private lessons will be just the registered student and the teacher.
Please make sure to read the class policies.
Only registered people can stay during class; I don’t have public seating. Please check if you need to wait; I can make exceptions for medical and disorder cases. But typically, only the person taking the class can stay.
Ensure you have all your supplies for class; see the description below for more details.

Arrive no more than 5 minutes before class; I might be cleaning up or coming from offsite.

Description

Private Sewing Lesson! 

Ages – 8 and older;

Only the enrolled student will be allowed to stay during the class session. We do not have a waiting room.

Ages 8 and below must have parents/adults involved in private lessons; don’t hesitate to contact me to set these up.

Did you know you can schedule a class for more than just sewing?

A private sewing lesson is precise in that you pick what we do! When registering, note what we are doing in the more information when checking out!
Do you want to open your own small business and have questions? How about social media help, pattern making, how to get into teaching… etc…

Private Sewing Lesson Materials:

You are responsible for bringing all supplies to class, including a sewing kit, pattern, needles, pins, thread, fabric, marking tools, etc.
Please let me know if you are unsure what to start with as a first project.  I can send you a list of easy beginner sews that help build confidence yet are trendy and fun! Let me know if you prefer clothing construction, accessories (bags, zipper pouches, kitchen towels, etc.), Home Decor, Quilting, etc.. what are you excited to sew?

You will need to bring ALL other supplies and materials.

This includes a sewing kit, needles, pins, marking tools, and Bobbins (Size 10, Class 15) if using my machine.

You must bring a sewing kit as I do not have communal supplies; I sell sewing kits.

Machines are available to use during class no fee, but make sure to have the right bobbins (Size 10, Class 15)

Class Policies

Class Cancellation Policy & Payments

• Full payment is due upon signing up.
• 100% of fees credited to another course if the student cancels 4 days before the scheduled date.

      • However, you will need to reschedule within 15 days and schedule for no more than 30 days from the original class.
      • The class fee is forfeit if not rescheduled within this timeframe.

IF CANCELLATION LESS THAN 4 DAYS before the registered class date, there will be no credit.

      • No exceptions, this ensures that other students waiting for a seat are not missing learning opportunities due to late cancellations.

• No-shows give up any refund or exchange. **Classes canceled by the studio will receive class credit. We try to limit classes canceled however there may be times that a class will be canceled and if this happens, you will receive an email with a coupon code to reschedule your class at your convenience. If you would prefer that I put you in the next class scheduled automatically, please just let me know. 

Times:

All classes start on time. Please be prompt, if you can come up with 5 minutes early for set up. Please do not come more than 5 minutes early to the studio; I will open the doors 5 min prior. I sometimes have offsite classes, private lessons or appts before the class.  If you use freeways to get to us, be aware of the rush-hour traffic, please plan accordingly. If you are over ½ an hour late, you will need to schedule a private lesson at your cost. You might miss out on precious information.  Please make sure you give yourself time for traffic and travel. Returns/Refunds: No Refund or Transfer of funds, if upon cancellation is 4 days or less before the start of the class. If you are canceling before the 4 days cut off will result in a CLASS  credit.

No Refunds or Returns.If there is damage during shipping, I will do my best to replace the item quickly.  Contact me within the first two days of receiving the product and email me with a picture of the damaged product (after opening the container), along with a photo of the shipping container before the product was opened.** I want you to enjoy what I make, but it is the BUYERS responsibility to notify me of any issues promptly. **
